I also kept these Disney Princess-Inspired Christmas ornaments kid-friendly by skipping the hot glue this time.
The supplies you’ll need are unbreakable plastic ornaments, glitter, embellishments and floor polish. Pop the top off of the ornament and squirt in a little of the floor polish. Don’t have any? Try baby oil. You just need to create a sticky surface inside of the ornament for the glitter. Gently swirl the polish or oil inside of the ornament so that everything is coated, then pour it out. Pour in a tablespoon or so of glitter and shake it around until it’s fully coated.

I used small bottles of glitter that I could pour directly into my ornaments. If you’re using something bigger, you may need to create a paper funnel.
Once you’ve glittered your ornaments and put the tops back on them, it’s time to embellish.

Pink rhinestones and purple glitter make the perfect Tangled ornament. These rhinestones came in a sheet, so it was just a matter of cutting and sticking them to the ornament surface.
I used a glue dot to attach a butterfly from the scrapbooking section of my craft store to create a live-action Cinderalla-inspired ornament.
After hunting around for the right embellishments for Snow White, I finally found a blue sequined headband in a bin at my craft store for a dollar. I cut out just enough to go around my ornament and used more glue dots to hold it in place. I’ll confess that I was ready to break out the glue gun, assuming this wouldn’t hold. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the glue dots held. Just add a red bow with another glue dot and Snow White is ready to hang!
Tiana just needs a yellow glittered ornament and some light green leaves from the Christmas floral section of the craft store and-you guessed it-more glue dots to hold the leaves in place.
Elsa had to make her way on the tree, of course. Snowflake stickers are all that it takes to turn a blue glittered ornament into something straight from Frozen.
If you’d rather skip the glitter, just pour a little craft paint inside the ornament and swirl it around until everything is coated. Then embellish the ornament and hang it on the tree!
